The University of Texas at Austin | Internal Transfer Application

    If you are currently an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin and are wanting to apply for another major other than the one you are currently enrolled in, you may be eligible to apply for internal transfer into another major and should complete an internal transfer application.

    The internal transfer process is highly competitive, especially for certain colleges and schools, and some majors only offer internal transfer for fall admission (application opens in spring). Consideration is based on a holistic review of your academic performance and other materials you must submit. We encourage you to review the Internal Transfer process and information regarding major-specific requirements prior to submitting your application.

    Fall 2024 Internal Transfer Application Deadline: May 1, 2024*

    *During the summer 2024 terms, students who are interested in submitting an application to the College of Liberal Arts for an open (non-restrictive) major may complete the Internal Transfer Application using the links below until 11:59 p.m. central on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024.
